Google has released the Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.3 update to an extensive selection of Pixel smartphones, starting from the Pixel 6 series and newer ones, thereby increasing the number of supported devices to more than half a dozen. Even though the monthly update schedule has already rendered Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 devices smaller, they can still get the quarterly feature updates by going through the Android 16 Beta program. The Feature Drop is likely to be in December.

The Beta 3.3 update is compatible with the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8 series, Pixel 9 series, Pixel 10 series, and the Pixel Tablet series. To get the update, go to Settings > System > Software update > System update and follow the on-screen instructions.

For the Pixel 6 series, the build number BP41.250916.015 is given; the Pixel 7 and later devices get the BP41.250916.015.A1. The new version brings the October security patch and fixes a known lock screen issue (Issue #457527675) which could lead to freezing or unresponsiveness on the impaired devices. Those users who have previously signed up for the Android 16 QPR2 Beta program will automatically receive this update as well as any new Beta releases in the future.

The stable Android 16 QPR2 release is thought to come out either late this month or early next December. Nevertheless, those who want to can still opt for the Beta program. Go to the Android Beta Program website, hit "View your eligible devices", choose your Pixel model, and click on the "Opt-in" option. Once you have signed up, look for updates under the software update settings, and the Beta 3.3 update will be available for direct installation.

When the stable version is released, the user can quit the Beta program and not lose any data, or they may opt to get Beta builds continuously until March 2026’s Pixel Feature Drop in a kind of preparation way.
